How we handle your information

This policy explains what brance.ai ("we", "us") collects when you use the website and workspace, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the service.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers visitors to our website, people who create a workspace, and people whose information is processed because an organisation uses brance.ai (for example prospects, customers or staff whose details are stored in a workspace).

If you use brance.ai on behalf of a company, that company is typically the controller of the business data in the workspace. We process that data to provide the service.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use brance.ai, we may collect:

Account details. Name, work email, password (stored as a hash), company name, industry and similar profile fields you provide.
Workspace content. Briefs, business profile, knowledge you upload, agent conversations, drafts, approvals, prospects, mail, files and activity logs.
Connected services. If you connect email or other tools, we process the credentials and message data needed to send, receive and display that mail.
Usage and billing data. Feature use, model rounds, token counts, approximate cost, device/browser type, IP address and timestamps.
Support messages. Anything you send us when you ask for help.

We do not require payment card numbers in the product today. If billing is added later, card data would be handled by a payment processor, not stored in full on our servers.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

create and run your workspace, including AI agents that research, draft, send, follow up and report back;
authenticate you, keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
show Mission Control, approvals, usage and other product features;
improve reliability and understand how the product is used;
communicate about your account, security and service changes;
comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI processing

brance.ai is an agentic AI platform. Prompts, business context, documents, emails and similar content may be sent to third-party model and infrastructure providers so agents can do the work you asked for. Those providers process data on our instructions to return results. You should not put secrets, bank credentials or special-category personal data into the product unless you have a lawful basis and have accepted the risk.

Agents may go online to research public information, build prospect lists and draft outreach. You are responsible for making sure that use is lawful in your market, including marketing and data-protection rules that apply to your outreach.

5. Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate the product:

Infrastructure and AI vendors that host the app, store files, send mail or run models;
People in your organisation who have access to the same workspace;
Professional advisers or authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety and the service;
A buyer if we sell or restructure the business, under appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep account and workspace data for as long as the workspace is active. If you close an account we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it for legal, security or dispute reasons. Backups may persist for a limited time after deletion.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as hashed passwords, access controls and encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Please use a strong unique password and limit who you invite into a workspace.

8. Cookies and similar tech

We use a session cookie (and similar storage) so you can stay logged in and so the product works. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on the marketing site today. You can block cookies in your browser, but the workspace will not function without a session.

9. Your choices

You can access and update much of your information in Settings. You may ask us to correct, export or delete personal data we hold, subject to legal exceptions. Workspace owners can also delete content they control. To make a request, email privacy@brance.ai.

If you are in a region with a data-protection authority, you may also lodge a complaint with that authority.

10. Children

brance.ai is built for businesses. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. International processing

We and our vendors may process data in Kenya and in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally we will use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the product develops. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Material changes will be flagged in the product or by email where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
